Ginger I am using the computer I bought in 2005 and I am also on XP. I only recently went off of dial-up so believe me I can relate. Right now the computer is dying. My CPU usage is all over the place, right now running just above 0 so having trouble answering you as quickly as I would like. 
I also used IE till recently. Use FF now but not real happy with it.
