Well, after searching and searching (I really believed I had the tag somewhere), I did find it.

The black orchid is Monnierara Millenium Magic "Witchcraft" FCC/AOS. My son had ordered it for me from Orchids Limited in Plymouth, Minnesota.

I stopped keeping tags in my orchids a long time ago (after we had the three back-to-back hurricanes), I didn't have many then and thought they were safe where I had stashed them outside. Wrong ! Actually, I found most of the orchids scattered around my back yard; out of the pots and, of course, no tags. I do try to keep the tags in a book now and also write it in a binder I keep. This black orchid ID wasn't anywhere I thought I might have put it. I will have to change my tactics !

I've just plodded on ever since, adding to my collection. When there's a really big storm or winds headed our way (no hurricanes again thank goodness) I now put them in the garage, the living room, the family room and some in my husband's shed which is supposed to be hurricane proof !
