This shows our second common species of ibis, the Straw-necked Ibis. It is nearly as common as the Australian White Ibis, which is also in the photograph. Even so, it has not developed the aggressive behaviour of the white one at residences but more spectacularly at outdoor restaurants and parks where they can be fearless. I remember one experience where I watched a diner get up and go indoors to get a serviette; her plates of food just went up in the air and the table went flying when three ibis landed on her setting grabbing food.

The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.
