I got these pics yesterday of I believe it is a Coopers Hawk. He was calling to another one flying overhead. I tried to get a pic of that one also but it was just to high. This one never would turn around so I could get a really good pic.
Also thought I'd start the Nov. thread.

The first Dark-eyed Juncos in the yard arrived today!!
Saw my first Yellow-bellied Sapsucker of the season. They are here all the time but typically seem to see them more in the winter.
Other woodpeckers are now coming by pretty regularly. Downy's, Red-bellied's even have a Hairy coming but have yet to get a photo of him so far. I have seen a Pileated fly over and land in the neighbors tree but have not seen one on the feeders yet so far this season.

I love the Woodpeckers, Lin! I haven't seen any for a while. They usually come to the suet feeder but they have not been around lately. I am not sure why...

Nice ones! I am seeing lots of waterfowl down on the lake when I drive around. I am always on my way somewhere. Just don't seem to have time to go looking like I used too.

Well I bought a new bird feeder at Wal Mart yesterday. Hoping it helps to keep the Squirrels out of the seed! It has become a regular meeting place for all the Squirrels around here Seems to be working so far...
Already getting some visiters!
Now if I could just figure out a way to keep the mob of Sparrows out of the Suet!
