Wow, that sure is pretty! I wonder if you could contact the blogger and ask if by chance he/she knows the name of that one?

It might be Air Plant (Tillandsia ionantha)

There are a few in the database that get that red coloration but don't seem to have that tight upright habit:
Air Plant (Tillandsia brachycaulos 'Miniata')
Air Plant (Tillandsia 'Sparkler')
Southern needleleaf (Tillandsia setacea)
