Great blue heron down at our farm pond. The fallen branch looks somewhat like a fishing pole, which would certainly be appropriate - last weekend we had 3 herons, 2 eagles, and a river otter all fishing for spawning salmon. I tried to catch a pic of the otter, but he was too shy and ducked under the water whenever I got on our deck. Second picture is more of a splash than anything recognizable, but it's the otter.

I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned.
