We get Common Grackles and Boat-tailed Grackles sporadically all year but they are really prolific during the winter months when large flocks reside here in the south. They always raid the seed and suet feeders, scattering seed everywhere as they search for just the right morsel, usually peanuts or peanut nuggets. They aren't my favorite bird but I still find them to be interesting looking with those wild eyes. Sometimes when the light hits them just right it shows their pretty colors too.
