There is a British gentleman living in Venezuela who has been breeding Adeniums for many years. On his facebook page, he complained that he'd bought some of Mr. Ko's seeds of "Miracle" which is very similar to "Triple Santa Claus", and the resulting plants finally bloomed and the flowers disappointed him.

I have several triple and double Santa plants, so I went and started doing some pollinating so I could send him some seeds. When Mr. Ko advertises seeds, the pictures have to be of two parents to give good results for flowers. A flower, say a double, is pollinated with its' own pollen, and not that of another completely different plant, the offspring usually reverts back to a simpler, disappointing flower.

I have been posting the resulting pods' growth, so I should share the photos here, hey?

The two flowers on the pollination day-- "Double Santa Claus",and "Triple Santa Claus" Date is recorded on the image. I cut a little hole in the paper and put the bigger flower in it, and the other flower is still on the plant, with the paper having a cut all the way to the edge. ???

Growing quickly, and another smaller pod pair. (Warm morning sunlight)

The pods changing position and shape, starting to bend downwrd.. The light is from the flash, what you call a cooler color. I prefer sunlight. The flowers are battered and bruised from wind and a hard rain. My plants don't like their new home very much. You can see the undeveloped pods that this plant is making all the time, not fertilized, but podlings that don't grow. I will cut them off soon. And at the bottom, what I call Adenium weeds. Little plants with minute white flowers that I've seen growing in folk's pots from all over the world! Adenium weeds. Click the picture to see the weeds, do you have them?

OK, all for now, more as we go. They will be ripe in another three months?
