Ursula, if you know how to take the battery out, try this:
Shut down the computer.
Disconnect the power adapter from the computer, if it's connected.
Remove the battery.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
Release the power button.
Reconnect the battery and power adapter.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
It's a battery reset; this might work. Very simple thing to try. You'll need a teenie weenie screwdriver to take out the battery (on bottom of computer)
