Some times coleus are just weird! We call those 'sports'.
If it's in the same soil, light, etc leave it alone.
keep it pinched to force more branches and more cuttings.
If it stays the same after you take a cutting and root it, you may have a "new" coleus.
In my book, you are a lucky man. Thumbs up I tip my hat to you. Hurray!
