Probably was the heat (triple digits) and first year plant. I appreciated the rebloom no matter the color. They really weren't that far off. The rebloom stalks were shorter and weaker as well (had to be staked). Here's 'Galaxy Explosion' from August 16. In real life, they gave the impression of being more orange and the color had a dull finish which wasn't the case with the first run. I'm expecting an established plant to overcome some of that, but triple digit heat and Texas sun is tough so it may be a compromise Smiling .
