You have the Florian glass, the same people I just got my estimate from. The glass the salesman recommended is the tempered -over- tempered, multi-coat, low-E Super Solar Control glass. That's a lot of words for a piece of glass!
He recommended the same glass on the roof and walls. He says this glass is not only super efficient in maintaining heat in the winter and cool in the summer, but also because it greatly reduces infrared and ultraviolent (neither of which plants need for growth or blooming), there is quite a bit of privacy. He says one can see out clearly but when outside, one cannot see inside well. I will have a 5' screened, sliding door with two 5' screened, sliding windows on the long, east wall, and one 5' screened, sliding window on the 8' gable side. Having the screened, sliding windows and door will allow for some cross-ventilation on nice days and would also allow for one to "feel" the outside when those windows were opened.
