Give them a little bone meal and kepl meal every month...should thicken up the walls. I also foliar feed weekly with fish and kelp. I have some bells going on their third year. They struggle in the summer but come back in the fall. Shade in the summer is necessary as Dan mentioned.
The reason most people fail instead of succeed is because they give up what they want most for what they want at the moment.
