Two term's for "N" this morning...

Nocturnal, refers to daylilies that begin to open their blooms in the late afternoon or evening. The blooms will then close later the next day. On the nocturnal cultivars I grow the blooms do well throughout the day, most lasting until early evening before closing. If you live head your garden in the evening, as I do, knowing which cultivars are nocturnal helps. Otherwise, the newly opening blooms and the older closing blooms tend to look alike and you can easily pick off the next days flowers. (been there, done that Grumbling )A few registered nocturnals that I grow are...





Second term is near-white.
