It's actually a ceramic glazed ball. I think it was a Ross purchase.

Italian Bugloss (Anchusa azurea)
My garden shot in that entry was taken the first year here. It self seeded and none of them ever got as big as that first one, a good thing though as all my other plants got bigger. It was a 4" pot from Annie's
