The Perrenial Rye Grass is better than the annual. It's less gunky and does not stick to the lawnmower as bad. Especially when the grass is wet. Just MHO. It is a little pricer than the annual. Oh, and it does come back every year in shady spots of your yard, if you have any. I only have some that comes back every year on the north side of the house where it is shaded most of the summer.
