When I took her to the vet 2 weeks ago for blood work/check up she entered office readily, greeted the Wheaton Terrier and a cat. Short term greeting seems to be best. If we linger she gets "antsy"... read "growl". She greeting the doc and 2 technicians happily. When I took her to same office/vet for teeth cleaning Wednesday she walked in eagerly, seemed to know the reception area... we entered an exam room. New Tech walked in and she looked up at the young gal, stood on hind legs and lightly put paws on her arm. That's a no-no under any other circumstances but she was being so familiar and gentle. The girl greeted her. Lexie stared at the girl. I wondered if the girl looked like someone Lexie had known in her former life. They led her back to the "back offices". I picked her up at 5pm. They brought her in and she was ALL OVER ME. Such a funny wiggly girl. Again, she leaned up to the same Tech. We went home and watched the workers finish up. Yesterday they arrived 8am and started with the noise.
My other two standards were not frightened or startled by noise. I used to take them out to a sheltered patio during severe monsoon activity (rain, lightning, thunder) and they would just relax on the floor not flinching. Must be in the genes.
