Yes, usually they are shoots with leaves, but these are tips that are coming out and getting no leaves, and they have that funny knob on the end of them almost like a pine cone, but smooth. They have been this way for a about a month with no signs of leaves forming on them. They are all up and down the vine, generally coming out at the same joint as a set of leaves.

Yes, I will come and check out your hoya and houseplant cubit. The only houseplants I've been able to grow with some success are hoya (that never bloom) and african violets have always been a piece of cake to grow. Everything else houseplant I kill. Love rubber plants, especially the variegated ones, have killed every single one.
