I'd have to say that I'd really like Fire Chief, Obsidian, Electra, Shanghai, Midnight Rose and Midnight Bayou.
I just bought some plugs from Ella. I keep the small containers from annuals and will put them in those and keep them on my patio, that way I can move them under the eaves if we get too much rain and the squirrels pretty much stay off the patio with the dogs around so hopefully they'll be okay. My plan is as they grow I can move them to larger pots and then plant in August or later. I bought my Tiramisu and Miracle that way and they fared well, only lost one Miracle in the ground. Normally I like instant gratification and buy the large plants, but I'll give this a try and see what happens.
Gee Chris, I sure hope you don't lose the tree and your shade. Here, I'm finding I'm getting more and more shade. It seems all my trees have really grown these past two years.
