A couple of days ago I was talking with our 12-year-old granddaughter and somehow the conversation turned to "we didn't have any cell phones" when we were your age... and then I pulled out my slide rule from college to show her; probably would have been a lot more impressive if (1) I could remember how to use the thing, and (2) I could actually see those tiny little numbers...
