I was utterly devastated when we got to FL this winter and I thought that I had killed my grandmother's plant. We had some trees cut and I forgot that their shade wasn't there any more so my plant got sunburned. However, after bringing it inside and cutting back the sunburned leaves and giving it some bananas, it now has 6 new spikes coming out, and when we left FL I made sure we put it outside in the SHADE!
