Welcome to ATP Welcome! Agree with Kent, I almost cross-posted but got the warning Smiling I too don't think it is a magnolia because it appears to have compound leaves. A magnolia should also have alternate rather than opposite leaf arrangement but can't really see which it has from the pictures. If you'd like to know what it is it may help to know roughly where you are. It will also be easier, unless someone else recognizes it as is, when the flowers are more developed.
