I read this once: A house has a ceiling light fixture with 6 glass globes. One globe is cracked.
The Englishman will leave it alone and treasure it as it is.
The Frenchman will move heaven and earth trying to find the exact match to replace the cracked globe.
The American will rip the whole thing out and buy a new one.
