Rita I still have tons more to do. Still hoping to get a new raised garden bed started this summer in front of the raspberries where it gets sun all day. To me it's seems such a waste to have so much lawn. My neighbors across the street both just mowed their lawns and I ran over and grabbed 9 bags of grass clipping (neither one use any fertilizer or weed killers). I have a huge earth bandage on the south woods side of yard filled with all the tree clippings that I'm gonna cover with clippings all summer long to help it break down faster as well as keep my yard just a bit higher than my neighbors so we don't have a water issue when it rains. It's kinda like my long term compost heap at the moment. I enjoy doing things the old fashion way. Not buying any soil, fertilizer , mulch etc...... I want my yard completely organic and done with my own two hands like my grandparents did, to me it's my therapy of life. I've also been doing lasagna garden beds around the yard with a few trial plantings and so far so good.
