There is a good case for burying the plant up to the graft. This will not hurt it.
You now have a strong established root system, and re-rooting it will set that back a good bit. Your call, but if it was mine and I really hated the base I would bury it.
Just remember, when it is a big tree nobody will notice that crooked base.
