Dorothy, I know it is frustrating, but having shared my life with two amazing Golden Retrievers, I would think that your new puppy will outgrow this. In the meantime, good luck! You're going to need it! Neither of my retrievers were good at retrieving, but they did like collecting things and putting them in a pile when they were young! At least you still have the markers, which should help down the road! I'd love to see a picture of the new family member!
