Yipee Brinda! You are my inspiration!
I am is a state of shock and deep despair over what I have lost too.
I am just trying to muster the energy to get rid of everything that's overgrown and unwanted.
The thriving Dollar Weed, Sword Ferns, Wild Blackberry, Spiderwort, Sweetbrier, and Ajuga are growing by leaps and bounds!
I too see this as an opportunity to start over.
I was reading in a journal where I had purchased 3 Creeping Coreopsis, Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing That's the dreaded Daisy vine and it's invasive in Florida. Dear God please let that be dead.
Then the runaway Bleeding Heart vine so sweetly dug for me.
Now I understand why he had it planted where it was surrounded by cement on all 4 sides. Dear God Please let that be dead.
We are having a nice slow rain today and I have only about a half dozen plants still living. I'm not even sure if my four 15' Crepe Myrtles are still living, or not.
I'm fairly sure I lost four kinds of Duranta, six different Hibiscus, three kinds of Porterweed, and possibly a Lace-leafed Japanese Maple.
My Lantana is okay, my Knockouts liked the cold, and my native azaleas are blooming.
Jaunita, that sound scarey!
This is what my Taggets looked like last Fall.

Life isn't about how you survived the storm, It's about how you danced in the rain!
