Lilies week is scheduled for July 4-10 and we could sure use a few articles from our forum members. I hope some of you will volunteer and share your lily knowledge. Articles appear on the ATP homepage; I am sure you are all familiar with them. We now have commitments for two articles/ideas and we need three more to fill out the week (management uses two days to present statistics).
They can range in length from short tips of a sentence or two to more in-depth knowledge.
To write and submit an article, click on Ideas and Articles. This link is found in the blue area in the upper left of the page and here:
http://garden.org/ideas/
Then click on "Post a new idea" located in the same blue area., This link is found under the "Ideas and Articles" link. Then follow the directions.

The "article" feature functions just like posting to a forum except there is an additional box for a short introductory paragraph. Supporting photos can be uploaded same as in forum threads. Very easy to do. Your drafts can be saved and edited until you are are ready to submit.
The last time we had Lilies week (2 years ago) we had articles about planting and culture, Tangos, and removing pollen stains. I'm thinking perhaps this time we could cover propagation (seeding, scales, bulbils etc). Also maybe doing crosses. Dealing with diseases. Companion plants. These are just a few ideas off the top of my head; I am sure there are many more.
Please Tmail me if you plan to write an article. I can also answer questions you may have. Let's make Lilies Week a success!
