The plant in the first photo does look like Tradescantia but I have no clue which one, there are quite a few listed in the database with photos for comparison:

For the large plant in the second photo, can you gently separate those leaves to get a photo of the stem? The leaves don't look right for Canna to me but as Tiffany mentioned, it might be Musa (Banana):

The plant beneath the larger one in the second photo might be Elephant Ears (Colocasia) or possibly a Philodendron
