Very well stated, Arlyn. At my age I make more mistakes than some others and sometimes the bees have their own ideas of what irises should grow in my garden. It never hurts to open a dialog about an irises origin with me and I like to have my garden 'watched' by more than my old eyes. I love my irises and if I am putting the wrong name on one I would welcome any and all comments about it. Also, I cannot put a name to a NoID just because it looks 'close enough' to a photo. That seems disrespectful to the iris, the hybridizer and anyone in the future that would trust me to send the rightly named plant.
Thro' all the tumult and the strife I hear the music ringing; It finds an echo in my soul— How can I keep from singing?
