Yep, that's a Dumb Cane (Dieffenbachia seguine) You can cut it back and the mother plant will sprout new branches. You can also root the lopped off stems and branches for additional plants, just let them lay out so the cut ends can dry and callous over a bit for a day or so before planting in a well draining potting medium.
