Yes. It has a heady old fashioned rose fragrance to it. It is absolutely one of my favorite. Probably because it's a old cultivar and the fragrance is not bred out of it. My other favorite with a fragrace is Big Ben (beautiful deep fuschia-pink). Once Big Ben is opened completely, it is so pretty. I think Big Ben has that rose smell too but different than Mme de Verneille. May be a slightly spicy smells on Big Ben.
