Background history:

'Night Beacon' is a evergreen diploid introduced in 1988 by Ra Hansen. Her son, Dan, and her cultivars can be seen at Ladybug Daylilies in Geneva, Florida:

Bellee Ra Hansen, 69, passed away on Feb. 15, 1999. Some of her hybridizing "letters" can be read on Dan's website:

Night Beacon is an early to mid-season bloomer with extended bloom and possible re-bloom. It Shows Susceptibility rating of 4.9. It has earned the following AHS awards: JC: 1988 and Honorable Mention: 1998. It is pod and pollen fertile with 5 registered children: http://garden.org/plants/paren...
