If you want to put more tree peonies in try to purchase the ones that are marketed as upright or dwarf. Most that are sold are semi relaxed or spreading it habit is not mentioned. Dwarf's are harder to find but they are out their. Alice Harding is one that gets about 3 X 3 and can be clipped to stay that short but they need to be placed so you can look up or into the plant. You just have to do some research.
