This beautiful Strahm hybrid varies in color depending on light conditions. In sun, it exhibits a red accent along the veins. Paler blooms result from shade or cloudy conditions.

There appears to be more than one similar lily sold as "Italia". I would say jmorth's is the correct one, most closely matching the description in the International Lily Register. The other one I have seen has a much larger yellow area in the center of the bloom and a lot more spots extending outward.
