We are still under stay at home orders until May 28th here in Michigan. It's been unseasonably cold and I'm currently waiting to uncover my iris blooms and buds this morning from a frost. I've been busy lately working part time at a hospital. My garden has really been my place of peace, now more than ever.

Despite the cold temps, some of my dwarfs have started. Here's what has bloomed so far:

The yellow flower in your bed is a celandine poppy (Stylophorum diphyllum for short).

Thank you all for the help identifying the poppy. I'm so excited to know what it is! My mother in law had a master gardener friend who was elderly and wanted to get rid of a whole bunch of plants. I showed up with a shovel and started digging. Got lots of surprises!

One more time covering my blooms and buds this evening. Hopefully the weather will come around and stay nice. I had a few more blooms open today.

Since we have more hands at home now with school being done early, we decided to raise chicks. It's been a learning adventure.

Where did you find Glebe Brook ? It's one I've been looking for , to add to my "Burton Bed'.

Laurie- Thanks. We got a dozen chicks. Half are Americauna and the other half of them are New Hampshire. Our chicken coop is a work in progress. We have enough done to put them in and are working on our run area. It is rainy today. Will hopefully get more iris pictures posted when it clears up.

We had Americanas when I was growing up, among other breeds. That chicken coop looks really nice! Like a little clubhouse for kids!
