Started this for July blooms. I got outside, took about ten pics and it started storming. We shut our computer down, so I have no pics to post yet, but look forward to seeing yours!

Editing post to add a picture. Thanks for the suggestion, Nan, @DeweyRooter!
This is a NOID that is just beginning and it has huge blooms. I have always loved it and it is probably one of the few NOID's I will always keep because it is late.

So beautiful, Jill!

The backdrop for my pictures has changed dramatically in the last few days. The storms are taking out the coneflowers and on Thursday, my neighbor's large oak tree fell and landed at the very edge of one of my daylily beds. I did manage to get just a few pictures today before one of the storms today. I don't dare go on the backside of this flower bed since there are hanging limbs.

Surprise FFO NOID on the outskirts of Orange Vols today. It is stormy here today, too, and it was way too humid to dab pollen for a tet vs diploid test. I don't think it's a seedling, as I am diligent about deadheading. It's probably one that I thought I lost in the move to town.

Strutter's Ball, opened with a triple. This plant was moved from the Well Bed last Summer, when I began the Dog Yard Bed. Previously it was always eaten by deer and I never saw more than one or two blooms. At first I thought it was going to expire, however it has increased hugely over the Winter and has put up 11 or 12 scapes. I am delighted to see it.

Wow, Donna! Good to see that you had some plants increase and thrive over the winter as you had so much bad luck with the new ones.

The pictures are great. Just want to comment on your Little Business. I used to have that plant, and mine was red, not purple.

It definitely looks like Little Grapette, though. 🤔

Hmm, it was sold to me as Little Business and this is the same plant last year, before moving it to its present location. Definite difference in color. However, I also have Little Grapette, which may not bloom this year, and will have to compare when it does. I will be disappointed if I end up with two plants of Little Grapette - not that I don't like it, I really wanted Little Business.

Well, there is a lot of variety in the database pictures, so maybe I'm the one who had the wrong plant.

I've noticed a lot of variety in coloration for quite a few daylilies in the database, but chalked it up to differences in location, soil, type of weather, etc., etc. I also have several daylilies that were not what they were sold as, so who knows? Shrug! Since I don't hybridize it's not so important to me, unless the NoID was supposed to be a plant I'd been searching for over several years. That happened with Breathless Beauty and I might, finally, have her. Only the bloom will tell.

July 1 and happy to have any blooms in this hot weather; however, we have escaped the worst and today there were some clouds and it is supposed to be cloudy tomorrow with a gasp! slight chance of rain. There is some good news to report--the two inch rain we had a couple of weeks ago has caused new scapes to pop out, so there should be some more flowers coming along.
This is a select group of blooms today--
