I cant remember what the name is to these plants but wow they are beautiful, if i remember correctly I was told to remove the bulbs and store them for winter. Maybe I am not remembering that correctly but either way I brought them into the house and put them in a large window with enough full sun to please many plants including a blueberry bush! .
So of course this plant is no longer making blooms but is making more and more greenery or foliage. . Id perfer to let him continue to live in the window but Im afraid I could be pushing limits. Will he die if i dont let him go dormant? Or maybe Im altogether wrong with my info.
Could someone please refresh my memory and tell me the name and whats best for them for the winter months.

I tried getting pictures of how he is slowing moving his bulbs to top..." in one pot" the other isnt doing the same but its been.. over 2 months now and the bulbs moved up and have stayed in the same place... ..

Can you tell us what the flowers looked like? Reminds me of Zepheranthes. ( rain lily)

Pinkish maybe light purple star like bloom. They seem to bloom one at a time seldom they will bloom 2 at a time.

I can't help much, as I'm at the opposite end of the country, but most bulbs do go dormant in winter. Some can survive cold and some can't in the ground.
Someone in your climate zone will chime in, I'm sure.

Agree with ctcarol, it does looks really like Zephyranthes sp. to me it almost surely Z. grandiflora. In my area these never totally dormant, they grow slower at dry seasons, may be they are not necessarily lifted, it seems nice though, having green in a grey winter. Another possibility with that leaves color is Habranthus sp (brachiandrus?), though they seems never had that much of leaves.

Should I leave them as they are for the winter months and in spring repot to a larger pot or maybe they would prefer the same pots they are in with some fresh soil ect??

Yup, rain lilies.
At my house, I would have them planted in the ground.
I don't know about Maryland, but seems likely they would be happy in a flowerbed there too.
I would leave them be.
In the spring, maybe add some compost on top of soil.... If you don't just set them out.

Hmm hardy to zone 8a.
So... Maybe don't leave them out. Can't you just place the pots in the garage, or under the house?

They should be fine in the window... Should bloom all winter.
Shouldnt need to go dormant... Tropical.

They havnt bloomed since I brought them inside but the greenery has flourished very nicely. I wish they would have been in bigger pots from the start. Here is a pic of where they set now

Especially to DG database entries providing false information. The link leads to Zephyranthes grandiflora, a species that never existed. It is an illegitimate name for Zephyranthes minuta and has been downgraded not merely to synonym status, but actually to illegitimate synonym status.
