It is December 1. and with that it is again time for a new thread!
I can start with my Brassavola Little Stars, it is just starting to open a bunch of spikes. I have to bring it downstairs to enjoy the scent in the evening.


I am happy the Coel. Golden Bug is rebounding! It seems to be happy in its humid spot above the baby Goldfish.

My Dendrobium Luz del Dia 'Kiilani' always starts blooming in September when I bring it inside, and it blooms right into Spring.

Ceratostylis retisquama keeps on blooming

Well, I have nothing to contribute, since my Vanda was the only one blooming and I gave it to my sister in her Thanksgiving bouquet.

But, you just did!

Oh, jeez, I forgot, I've got a couple of phals blooming, but they are hanging on a rack over in the shade. Guess I better photo them, eh?

I have stuff budding but nothing blooming other than non-orchids.

Oh, my terrestrials are blooming, the Snow Angels and Kate. I do have my Den. blooming, and it is the "mother' plant. She is still blooming her typical colorations. Some of her divisions bloomed a beautiful alba last spring. I never did understand why they did this.

I only have one bloom at the moment, and poor plant has been neglected for 10 days so the spike is nearly finished.

My goodness, Ursula...your Little Stars is positively LOADED with buds and blooms! Yes, you want to bring that one down to enjoy!
My recently acquired Phrag Don Wimber has opened a second flower..



And my NOID from my original collection circa 2011-12 opened 3 buds yesterday. I am hoping that the always helpful folks at
Kawamoto Orchids will be able to ID it for me. This is the first time for this plant to bloom , and I know that sometimes the first flowers
are a little goofy..but this one I have segregated now until I hear back from Reid Kawamoto. I am concerned about the random and
asymmetrical stripes on the dorsal petals as well as some slight color breaks that I'm seeing.

There's a bunch of reasons to love Kawamoto Orchids...they have a huge selection of great plants for one. If you can visit them at a show their prices are fantastic...if you have to mail order as I used to, their prices are fair..but include 2 day shipping from Hawaii. Another reason is their customer service..
no matter how busy they are...and they grow and sell a few plants, and travel good distances to shows..but they ALWAYS have time to answer my emails. My ID inquiry was answered within 30 minutes.
(Lc. Rosette Warland x C. Chocolate Drop) ...and searching through the depths of my document folder on my desktop I found Lc. Tristar Bouquet on a list of plants that needed entries made into my orchid journal.

Looks like I am getting a new computer for Christmas. Tomorrow I take this old one in to Best Buy so they can transfer data. So, I may be down for a couple of days for pics and OrchidWiz.

I was in 'password HELL' for a few weeks after getting my new desktop, so make sure you've got all that info on old school paper before you close down the existing machine!

Lindsey, your Phrag Don Wimber blooms are gorgeous!

Here are my "plain ole phals" that are blooming and some nice bloom spikes. Nothing fancy-schmancy, but a bloom is a bloom.

Ken, here is what I did with Emerald Isle. I think it will look pretty cool on that pricey piece of petrified sugaro cactus root.

Phrag Don Wimber is really good looking. Nice growing.

Yes, the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum! I tried to see the id tags, but not much luck.

That bugs me when you are at an official place like an arboretum and the plants are either not identified or the signs are not visible
