Yes, I know it seems really early for 2017 but there are a few vendors already opening their doors for next year.

I made my first one today at The Shady Spot. It seems Liz has ordered all the Burseens already.... so my order is much smaller I am guessing. Hilarious!

I only ordered 11 and no they are not all Burseens (quit shaking your heads in disbelief!). After all I had to pick up the very lovely Dare Me that many posted last year.

I would post pictures of my Burseen purchases but there are no pictures of many of these so I suggest you just go look at Judy's site: http://theshadyspotiris.com/

Made my Shady Spot order first thing this morning. Les, there's also auctions on Burseen's on Beaumont Ridge Iris FB page.

I got the new 2017 Judy Schneider, which is freaking stunning and 2017 Tijuana Toaster. I also got that white little ugly/cute broken color 2015 Don't Doubt Dalton. Stepped out my comfort zone for this one.
Gimme it and I'll grow it!

Liz - I told Judy that no doubt you would have sent her a pretty big order. !!

I too ordered Fruit Fusion, Tomasino, Decked Out and Judy Schneider, along with Pixel Hue and Curvy Course. The clump shot of Fruit Fusion is stunning. The rest of the order was Dare Me, Dog Days, Honey Fruit Cocktail, the historic Pink Unicorn, and the IB Touch of Tuscany.

I envy your Tempo Two order. I have gotten a lot of Blyth's in the last two years. I need to see how well they continue to bloom before going crazy again. I can say that my Enter The Dragon is huge. But others like English Charm struggle. So..... Shrug!

For what it is worth Gabe, I really like Don't Doubt Dalton. Didn't order it, but the year is young... And if it grows well, we can trade some Burseens. Big Grin

Stout also has Don't Doubt Dalton for $5 more. Once things really take off you are welcome to any of my Blyths or Burseens Leslie. I'm excited for Fruit Fusion and Judy Schneider. There are a couple more I want but I'm holding back so I can get other intros this year.

I'm kinda crazy about my list, because I have so many and sometimes I forget what I have!

Liz, you are going to have to look for Winkin and Blinkin to go with your Nod. They are hard to get in this country. They are by Michelle Bersillon, a very nice person and really great hybridizer.

Remember this line from Eugene Field's poem? "Winkin', Blinkin', and Nod, one night sailed off in a wooden shoe; Sailed off on a river of crystal light into a sea of dew.' Although I think he spelled them Wynken and Blynken.

Another iris quest. Smiling

We need to send a "tailor" to Liz to fit her for her WHITECOAT.

She will "repeat" as King/Queen of the hill at this pace.

I ordered a few from The Shady Spot - just to try out a new vendor Rolling my eyes.

But my main purchase today was IRIS CULTURE AND HYBRIDIZING by Wilma Vallette that I found in a book search - in very good condition for $45. How did I do, Lucy?

Liz - you're re-elected!

At this pace I think you're right Greg Blinking

Bonnie, I ordered "Nod Yes" which is a Blyth, but I intend on getting Nod and Winkin and Blinkin from Stout since they have both for intros this year Hurray!

my 10.22.16 order to temp two was for:
'absolute cute'
'lucy lovejoy'
'captain thunderbolt'

that is the extent of my order for 2017, because i need to see the other irises that i ordered this year. i haven't seen the 57 others. they've not shown their lovely faces; just 'saxon', 'tiger play' and 'perfectionist'. ( it was a great teaser, because i thought i'd have to wait until spring to see any.) Rolling my eyes. Hilarious!

so that will have to hold me until spring. Sighing!

Liz - actually Winkin, Blinkin and Nod are three SDB's and Stout will be offering all 3 together at a reduced price! Note that too Bonnie. They are darn cute.

Don't worry Greg - Stout isn't open quite yet.... And I look forward to the Superstition pre-sale list. I am really curious about the new dwarfs!

Great about the book, Jan. Look what you will be reading all winter. Will look up the 3 poetic SDBs at Stout. I also want to get 'Passport to Pimlico' since my Sun Sprite is one of its parents.

Hi folks -- im one of the crazy ones that's opened early for a pre 2017 reserve auction event on my Facebook page ( Beaumont Ridge Iris) have about 130 TBs listed with another 30+ to add tomorrow. I'll probably only have one or two other auctions on my page during 2017. The work is getting to about my limit for one guy. With 1,300 varieties to take care of - I got my hands more than full.
This event is for friends of Beaumont Ridge Iris -- but i'll open it up to iris forum members who aren't friends or don't have a facebook account. Just let me know your a member and you can participate. Or tree mail me here with any questions.
Please don't be offended by my bull dog like warning post pinned at the top of the page. I had a problem -- a REAL problem with deadbeat bidders this year, and I'm trying to warn them off. If anyone is interested, drop by and visit Smiling

You're absolutely right about those being 3, not 2 irises Leslie. My head is swimming with irises right now Blinking I'm definitely getting that triple special. There are way too many intros being offered by Stout that I love this year.

Timothy, I was happy to see your auction and I've put in a bunch of bids already Smiling
