About a year and a half ago I started collecting variegated plumeria. All of the plants I have purchased have come from Thailand from three different eBay vendors. They have all been very honest and communicative and speak English fairly well. You can import up to 12 plants per shipment with no permit required. Shipping has been fairly quick with no problems encountered. It is a little on the expensive side but the plants are generally cheaper than in the US. Variegated plumeria are practically impossible to find in the US. A few vendors list Maya but it is rarely in stock.
I have purchased about 30 plants of which about 20 are variegated. They have all done well except for one which I considered to be my fault. All of the plants have leafed out to what was in their ads. Some of the plants may be duplicates with different names but I guess I won't be sure till they bloom. The plants are all listed by the names advertised. I have no idea if these are correct or not. I wish there was a definitive source somewhere but I am not aware of one. If anyone does know of one I would be very interested.
I am by no means an expert on plumeria. I have grown a few over the years though and really enjoy them. I also purchased 100 seeds which had almost 100 percent germination rate and they are all growing very quickly in our hot and humid weather. I hope to keep them all until they bloom if I have enough room in my greenhouse or storage area. Eventually I will give a lot of them away. They have been a lot of fun to grow.
I am going to list the plants I have in individual posts with pictures so I don't get confused. I rarely post on Internet forums and usually just read. I do have two or three plants that have not leafed out completely so I will post them at a later date. If anyone has reliable sources of other variegated plumeria I would be very interested in this too.
