The bloom looks splotchy, is that the result of thrips, or just an early bloom?

Arlene, your lovely selection explains why we are all crazy about daylilies. So varied from the fiery golds to the delicate porcelain like, Tuscan Blue. And the pure yellow self to the flamboyant Waves Of Joy. And Becky's opening thread bloom Drooling

My Ruffled Shawl has been flowering away. Thumb of 2018-05-03/bron/b372b4
We are having some cool days and nights, so nice after a long hot summer. But the pumpkin keeps growing tho I pull it out.

I did have a few new blooms in the garden this morning:
'Red Squirrel': Fist bloom on this plant for the year. It is a small bright little bloom.
Thumb of 2018-05-03/Seedfork/e5cac8
A NOID: Even though this is a NOID I will use it to hybridize a few plants. It is a tall plant, sends up lots of scapes, multiples rapidly(new fans still forming), it has some great branching also. It has already produced my first proliferations (its is common on this plant). And even more, it has scapes on it already of three different stages, so rebloom and maybe instant rebloom with it. Not sure exactly how long the bloom season is on it but the best I remember it is pretty long.
Thumb of 2018-05-03/Seedfork/549efb
Five way branching:
Thumb of 2018-05-03/Seedfork/b8cd49
Adding one more photo of my NOID showing a scape and a lady bug looking for lunch. Since early spring I have seen very few aphids, and now even the snails and slugs appear to be very scarce.

Any chance this might be 'Buddy's Wild and Wonderful'? A James Hall daylily. He sells on the LA.

Thanks, Valarie.
There are some similarities. Only thing I can remember about this one is that it was a box store bagged CV. I've looked at thousands of photos of similar, but no matches to it yet. Thought the name might grab me while looking, but the search continues...

How nice to see blooms starting! I'm just starting to get a few scapes here. Arlene, all of yours are glorious. I'm glad to see you like Promises Kept as that was a new one for me last year, and I look forward to seeing its blooms this Spring. Fred, I sure like the looks of that Jurassic Park. I wish I had bought it before Maryott closed.
