Thankful I got a good sound sleep this afternoon and am feeling much better. Have been in so much pain I've not had a good sleep for about five days. Think I'm recovering!!

I am thankful I can now walk from the house to the barn again. It has been months since I was able to do that and I have been working so hard at getting my strength back again. I so need the exercise to keep my old body from getting stiff.

I'm thankful that I've done a lot of prayer shawls for our church, and that I was able to do so. I'm grateful that I have the ability to help this way.

Susan what is a prayer shawl? I know it kind of speaks for itself but really have never heard of them...

I am thankful for the few warm days we have had.. the frogs are croaking up a storm. I hope we dont get surprise frogsicles

Susan, that is a lot of falls in your crowd... what the heck you got in the communion cup? And can you send a little to my church? The priest needs to chill out a bit ..they get so caught up in those sermons. 😜😜 I hope your buddies are all healing well.

I am totally ignorant about how to use twitter and instagram. I TRIED to set up an instagram account. AND NO MATTER HOW I TRIED I KEPT GOING IN CIRCLES. This is OK with me and I only did it because the young granddaughters have an account for their CATS...and they have FOLLOWERS...and I wanted to see what they were putting on there and who if anybody was contributing to their accounts ( stranger wise) ..and who these followers were... stuff like that. Since I failed, I will stay on their parents tails to monitor. That will be more fun for me 😣😣😣😉

BUT I AM THANKFUL THAT I AM OLD AND SO THIS IS NOT A GREAT BIG NECESSITY TO ME... VERY THANKFUL.

Rosie,
I'm so old school I don't have the slightest idea how to set up anything!

I'm thankful I am old and can use that as an excuse.

Ronnie - a prayer shawl is a knitted or crocheted (I knit) shawl, about 2ft wide and however long you want it, that's made and prayed over, then given to someone in our church, in need.
I make them, put a label on it with a poem on it. The label says who it's from (our church), and that it's for them to wrap around themselves when they need to remember that someone thought of them & will continue to think of them during their time of worry. Usually they're given to someone when they've lost someone close, when they're in the hospital or suffering some other type of sickness or grief. It's called a Prayer Shawl Ministry and we have a committee who looks after allocating them, based on other people's requests for someone to receive one.

You are not alone with Instagram. I have had, over the years, several pages on Facebook for the plants and Christmas Trees, plus the birds and I just can not seem to be able to post on Instagram. I have tried and did it but everytime I think I am going to try again. I have failed. The one I like is Pinterest and that has some beautiful pictures of all sorts of things from people, animals and all sorts of needlework and artwork. I just love to spend time on that when I have the time.

Whistling These are not all people in our church that have been falling, so we can't say anything about communion wine Hilarious!
Apparently they're all healing well - All but one goes to church, and one that does isn't able to go to church yet. Lovey dubby

👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
A little wine might make all the difference. We had neighbors that were rip roaring drunks ..( this was in Jamaica, Queens ( <<borough of ) where everyone walked or took trains and busses )

I was as a young bride in a very small apt and not a lot to do but people watch in the evenings, the streets were well lit with lamps.and we lived near the EL..<(an elevated train) and a busy bus stop.. .there was a rooming house located right next door and I would see the tenants stumble home..tripping up the curbs and down the cement steps. George ( a bartender of all things ) would always have a small glass/ clay pot with a new bonsai ( his hobby ) Sweeney would stumble home from who knows where and he would have takeout in his hands... Jim, well he had the BIGGEST feet I ever saw and the kindest face.. a gentle giant .. ..( all three lived in the top floor of the rooming house ) Not a one ever hit the ground --seen them navigate on ice and snow too. I am certain it was the booze. I am thankful for those men.. I learned a great deal from each.. Sweeney taught me about the bible and Jesus's works (an irish catholic with 3 nuns for sisters and he never said but I suspected Sweeny was a fallen priest) George the bartender was an avid reader and I was dirt poor... he would bring me books all kinds all topics .. some were definitely geared toward women and I suspect he bought them for me... Jim
was sort of a Boo Radley type .. very timid ...and he taught me to appreciate the eccentric and reclusive among us. They were all very dear to me. We lived in that 3 room apt for longer than we had to because I was very reluctant to leave them. My young husband said he could not afford to feed them any longer 😉 ( the straw that broke that camels back was when that last winter, we had a huge snowfall... Jim wanted to be helpful....and he shoveled snow off the hood of my husbands new (to us) car -- ruining the paint.

oooooopsie - the new-to-you car paint getting ruined - I can relate. My brother dragged a box across the trunk top of my new car (yes, it was new) and although I told him NOT to, he did anyway, and got huge scratches on the paint. His response when I snarled at him? "It shouldn't be so delicate - it's a CAR!"

Thankful that kicking and screaming I just joined the 21st. Century and got a smart phone. I'm still not smart but at least I can jump on here since I no longer have internet at the house. Dixie and I got home Nov 3rd to no power but got it restored the next day. Both of us are very thankful to be home. Slow going with cleanup etc but at least progress. Anyone want cedar logs? Come and get them. Hope I can post this...love and missed you guys
