If it sparkles - I'm there!

I sat the girls down... a come to Jesus moment ..I decided to skip the "its not good to swipe flowers without asking permission" I decided to approach from another standpoint. I patiently explained to the girls that by removing the flower before its natural demise, .. it deprives the bulb of needed energy for next year's bloom .... that by removing the flower they have essentially doomed the bulb.... that by removing the flower they have sealed its fate...

Bella listened... she listened hard.... and said

"What have you got for our after school snack Honey? "

Well... I received another "Pearl" from The Hubby this morning .. thought I would share

We were talking about something "newsy" I forget exactly what ..and I passionately said "It's a TICKING TIME BOMB I TELL YOU!!"

And I could see The Hubby 'got it'.. he thoughtfully paused...
thought some more about what I said... looked strsight at me ..and pronounced

" Gee, ticking time bombs....they must be digital now..."

# IGiveUp # BUT I AM THANKFUL FOR HIM

I am thankful spring is close and that I keep some photos of my garden on the ipad to remind me!

Thankful that when I went to the hospital with chest pains it was a false alarm - acid reflux that brought me to my knees - it HURT, but at least now we're sure what it is.
Also thankful that the Dr is sending me for heart & stress tests. He'd x-rayed me, but wants to do further investigation Just To Be Sure. Better safe than sorry, after my "incident" with blood clots in my lungs 3 years ago this month.

Susan..my sister also has reflux and her doc did the very same thing

She passed her echocardiogram with flying colors
She passed her treadmill stress test with flying colors
He ordered a cardiac calcium CT ...her score was 586!
HORRENDOUS!

She had to pay 99 dollars for it because Medicare does not pay...but it will save her life. The calcium is located in the 'widow maker' ..the left coronary..not sure where so she will have angiography to pinpoint.

I urge all who undergo cardiac testing to speak to their doctors about this quick test...it looks at the vessels that may stay hidden in other routine testing
