Dendrochilum parvulum 'Golden Gate' so tiny with it's wonderful scent. Can't decide what to compare it to. Someone online said it smells like cat pee. Not mine! Lovey dubby

I guess that tarp worked this summer. Only a few have had rot this winter. If only I could leave the property in summer without panicking that no one would be there to cover them, all would be perfect.

Dendrobium nugentii is blooming right now Smiling When not in bloom, the growth is interesting too. I grow it in full sun and flood daily.

Oerstedella centradenia wasn't doing too well ( potted up) a few years ago, so I mounted a couple of pieces to epiweb. 2-3 years later:
This may not be a miniature...

Pleurothallis tripterantha - this one is growing in a small tree fern ring. ( I have another plant which I grow mounted.)

Does Dendrobium nugentii have a scent??? Love it. And the pleuro...
I have a Oerstedella centradenia in bud that I just got at J & L. After it blooms, I may mount it, too.

Kathy, the Den nugentii is supposed to have a scent, but so far I haven't caught any. It either gets drowned out or I am checking at the wrong time of day.

Dinema ( Encyclia ) polybulbon
I bought a very small plant at the SEPOS in 2009 and mounted it on Epiweb in the hope that very soon it would cover the Epiweb. I am happy, we are making progress and it is also showing some nice blooms. They are very fragrant, I was surprised to smell Anise. The old plant is still somewhat visible in the center of the slab.
I am growing this one horizontally.

Here a couple of mini Catts, I think. Meaning their growths measure less than 6 inches and I would think they will stay small?

Lc Mini Purple Shibuya SM/JOGA
This little gem came from the Japanese Grower Suwada, he was one of the vendors at last year's Silva Orchids Summer Fest.
The color is accurate. Beautiful scent in the direction of mini Cyclamen!

And from Norman's Orchids last March at the SEPOS, what a little cutie! The color is spot-on.

You know I am really happy about them. I bought a few the last couple of years and I see them slowly but surely "finding their voice".
