A friend just came and took a truck load of stuff from the pot ghetto. She has 15 acres and endless energy! Still the ghetto is plenty full. My friend does not understand the concept. She is a newbie. She'll get it in a year or two. Or maybe not since she has so much space.

When you reach critical mass, you sorta have to give 'em away, or throw them out, and I doubt there's a one of us here who could ever do that...perish the thought! Glare

One of the Dumpster Diving Divas, back in 2002, saw enough bags of raked leaves by the side of a road she was driving down to fill her big van.

But she had three kids in the back seat.

Well, kids don't take up that much room if you pack the bags of leaves around them, under their legs, and on top of them. She filled that van over, under, around and through until all you could see of the kids was a hand sticking out from between two bags, and some plaintive cries of "Mooooom!"

We keep straying from 'show us your pot ghetto'.
Maybe we need to start a new thread for those of us who are ...um, Whistling a little different?

To me it's all connected...would any of us have significant pot ghettos if we could control ourselves?

Okay, okay. I may not swim very good but I am the dumpster diving queen. Rolling on the floor laughing Hey, someone has to rescue those plants that no one paid money for, right?

Over the next few days let's see some photos of pot ghettos, to keep us all honest and true to this threads title. Thumbs up

Forgot to say earlier - and, yes, this is related to the ghetto theme, my dog is getting to be quite the critic. He likes to dig, yeah I know Rolling my eyes. , I've said that before, but today he stopped digging and 'told' me to move some pots out of the way as my pot ghetto was cramping his digging style. Blinking Seriously? Yep. As soon as I had moved a sufficient number of pots (12) he resumed digging. It's dark out now and the spiders are working in the yard; photos tomorrow.

I can't go back to previous years with photos cuz I never thought to take ghetto pictures before, but I can update for this year. Yep, I have continued to add to my ghetto *Blush* I did take one carload to my friend's place, but she's still waiting for the excavator to come, so now she has a ghetto too. I will post pics in a few hours.
Though we may all be feeding our various habits, do we not have a mutual goal to provide good homes for plants and to beautify the world??:grouphug:

Nope, I am keeping my Ghetto for myself. LOL. The plants are already in a good home, it is called a 'POT'. I love my pot ghetto and they are beautiful now. Yes, there is beauty in the Ghetto. Group hug

This shelving unit is mostly "hospital" plants in recovery
Thumb of 2014-07-09/jvdubb/9862cb

I still have a whole other shelving unit full. Plus stuff on the ground. But 4 big pots of stuff are lined up to go next week! Hurray!

Unfortunately I walked by my neighbor's place today and saw some coreopsis and day lilies I just have to have!!
