Have to love the digbyana contribution to that one!

Very nice show Patty.

Glad you are safely home, Lindsey.

Oh, I do love those fuzzy digbyana crosses, Ursula. I'll bet it smells nice, too?

Patty, yes I did buy one of those Den. pulchellums and it bloomed two years in a row, then croaked last winter for me. Blinking Confused Rolling my eyes.

I do have a whole bunch of Habenaria rhodocheila making their first appearance now - thought I'd lost them, as they were buried under a pile of oak leaves off the roof, but here they are coming up. Last year I divided and potted up my little pot of these, and had 20 starts. Looks like this year there are a bunch more!

Lovelies, Lindsey, I am still just smitten by that darned Frances Fox with that stunning spotty lip, but I have to resist. Spent the most I've ever spent on an orchid, and it lasted 2 years for me, gave me one more flower and croaked. I will just enjoy yours, absolutely going to town. Reminds me of the cruise ship cocktail, what??

Henry Wan sure caught my eye but Newberry Lave Burst might be my favorite. I tend to be partial to intros by Carter and Holmes, my old stomping grounds.

Thanks all!
Alice, Henry Wan came from the Tamiami Show in Miami a couple of years ago ( Hamlyn's) It was in spike with 9 , I think , spikes. They were asking $45 which was over both my limit and my sisters. So we bought it together and after it bloomed I divided it. It came apart in 3 pieces. I potted up the largest piece for her, sold the smallest piece for $20 and I kept the middle piece. Her's is back up to 9 spikes , mine doubled from 2 to 4 and the baby , I'm told doubled as well. So we got our money's worth.
Elaine, this Frances Fox came from Pam in Apopka at a fraction of Plantio's cost. I think it is happier in a pot rather than hanging in a slat basket.
Oh Patty, I'm with Bill on celebrating Naked Gardening Day. I agree ..I did pull some weeds with my clothes on. Whistling

edited to add - I should mention that Hausermann lists this plant as 'Springs Best', but google searches show both spellings, with or without genitive.
