Looks good. Love the bloom. Did you try to root the tops too??? Some of mine made it and some didn't.
The one I trimmed is send out little leaves, so it is looking better...

I am on Adenium site on Facebook and when I told them I cut off the tops, they said to be sure and root them. From what I understand they don't get any rounder but they will bloom for you....Thumb of 2012-06-29/Ridesredmule/593dd8 See the square frame??? that is one with tops and some ate even getting leaves....

Not bad! I'm thinking the next time I hard prune, I'll stick a couple in soil to see what happens. Smiling

Can't just "stick them in the ground" kinda of important to let them rest, I usually just put them on the porch for a week or so, shave the bottom a bit, dip em in root start and plant. it's one of the things I find easy so I no longer do it. Hilarious!

Mike, I think your on to something about planting rooting and selling cuttings. Just got back from my local Walmart, they had about a hundred adeniums (all in plastic cups) getting $12.00 each. I checked every one of them, not only were they cuttings, but everyone was the common pink! I'm curious to go back in a few days and see if they sold any. Also every one of them were in bloom so I think they will be able to sell them just on the strength of the bloom.

I tell you there are 2 different types of buyers seems like. The first like most all of us that take the caudex and different colors in to consideration. the second is buy the "dessert rose" wich they think all are pink in one way or another.

Charleen; when it's so easy to start a cutting, I'd never consider buying one. But I do understand those who see them, love the flower and buy them. I met a man and wife at home depot who took me to they're home and gave me a air layered white adenium which is the same as a rooted cutting, I accepted it because I wanted another white flower so I could try once again to get a white one to pollinate, Like Wilfred I just have no luck with whites.
