Wowee, if you want Adenium culture tips, try http://siamadenium.com/

Takes forever to load the page, but it's worth it. The fellow changes the site constantly, it's never ever the same, yet you can find the articles you want. I have learned so much here, !!as well as on Adeniums India!!. Not to be contradicting, just adding to what Mike says.

Right now, the page starts with the breeding of a black double, then goes on to grafting a single bud, then multiple grafts onto onr 'bottom' plant. Then planting seed, then breeding, then a couple of other types of flowers, miniature roses, water lillies, then back to Adeniums, with different sizes, yellows, and hahahaha he cannot get an orange!! and then other flowers, please, no, they have a brown, UGH!!!

Not quite half way down the page is a mind boggling photo of a ten acre, or maybe twenty acre field of adeniums. Says 30,000 plants. You can hire people in Thailand for $4 a day.

Oh. fooey, I was reading a page, clicked the photo, and should have punched my computer's 'back' button. I closed the page. Owell, good for you, I'm ranting!

And then there are the bonsais and how to arrange roots.

OK, I'll stop. Both of these growers are on facebook. Hmm, a flower for you---Thumb of 2012-07-16/coconut/cd3c5b

Siam Adenium has something like 500 kinds. New ones every day. OVERLOAD!! I dislike the "messy" ones, do you?

The thing i dont like about and Melissa i think you would agree with me .....they put all these new ones out with names BUT try to order and so many of there new ones are not available for months and they charge 45-60 for each NOT including shipping. they have great ones BUT we have tried to order some 3 -4 times and "those have not been released yet" those are sold out for the year'

they get ONE plant that blooms the way they want then they start grafting off that plant to build there stock plants to take cuttings off of to sell. this can be one or two years or more and then they are so limited good luck getting them..agree with Melissa wait a little while and someone will get it and replicate it for sale

Now dont get me wrong i have and do order from them but not the $$$$ money ones. ALSO if you do order and they ship with the wrong ones OR short you on any they will NOT replace them!! They say they take your order process it give it to the quarantine department and they have to count and make sure it is exact to the packing slip before they ship......the last order i ordered i was shorted 6 adeniums and had 2 extra of one i did not order...which made me not to happy!!

I do get a little aggravated when they show all the beautiful ones, and like Mike says you cannot buy them as they are either not available or way to expensive,

I figure looking at Siam Adenium's flowers is for entertainment, not shopping. The info about culture, grafting, root placement, and etc is very good.

Oh, Siam Gold Aroma bloomed again this morning, and is as advertised. The flower looks just like what he publishes, and it is fragrant first thing in the morning.

Thanks; I am pretty amazed at this plant myself. It didn't have much trauma with the cuts. If you see cinnamon, that's from the last stem that I cut- I let it flower first. Smiling

I'm thinking of placing a little gnome in that space... that caudex will be a fitting house!
