Great work photographing all those beauties, Leslie.
'Creature of the Night' has been on my wish list for a while.
It definitely needs to come live here one day. So different and gorgeous.
Definitely has the wow factor!
Andrea - Smooth Jazz does make a nice clump, doesn't it?!
William - Seeing Creature of the Night in bloom reinforced why I wanted it in the first place. Bet it would be nice next to a golden yellow and one of Keith's iris with dark infused standards, such as Desert Moth or Idle Rich.
Thinking I like it with Go for Broke because they have complimentary beards - Broke has the purple and Creature has golden brown like Broke's coloring. Maybe a lighter yellow than Idle?

My Creature of the Night did not look anything like the beauty you photographed. It was a dark muddy mess. I'm hoping that it was just a first year bloom working itself out and the future ones will be nicer
I hope so too Liz. Please post pics of it next year! The original pics of Creature I saw looked darker than what I saw in the fields. It is a bit like Rum Is The Reason in that respect. It doesn't look like the catalog pic but looks pretty good nonetheless.

One thing I noticed while at Mid-America was that both Thomas and Paul were working with a lot of arilbreds. I will have some to show you as I go along.
This is definitely a crush of Thomas' TB Just A Crush:
I just love blue/purple striped iris. Not really original, reminds me of Tropical Cooler, but I still really like it. This is Thomas' TB Break Tradition:
They had a clearance sale last year towards the end of the summer. It didn't have anything to do with this site, though, it was something they emailed out to existing customers.
and TI-244-A, which I love the ruffles on because they make it appear like there are double falls. This especially struck me when I saw it in the field.
